Human Beta 2 Microglobulin
SIZE
0.1 mg
INTRODUCTION
Beta 2 microglobulin is an 11 kDa protein associated with the outer membrane of many cells including lymphocytes. Beta 2-microglobulin is present in small amounts in serum, cerebrospinal fluid, and urine of normal people, and to a much greater degree in the urine and plasma of patients with tubular protein anemia, renal failure, or kidney transplants. Human Beta 2 microglobulin levels can rise either because its rate of synthesis has increased or because of impaired renal filtration. In addition, it has been reported that other increased serum levels are found in rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases.
DESCRIPTION
Expressed in E.coli with total 141 AA. Mw: 16.7 KDa (calculated). N-terminal 6xHis-tag, EK and TEV cleavage site, 45 extra AA (highlighted).
Recombinant antigen for research use or manufacturing only.
